About Us
The "Thiple H" of Triple-H-Ranch comes from Jeff, Julie and Abby Henderson. We are city folk who have traded the conveniences of living in the city for the peace and quite of country living. In 2003 we bought 15 acres south of Lawton with the intentions of building a home and enjoying country living. About a year after buying the land an opportunity to rent an old farm house(built in the early 1900's) on 160 acres a mile North of our 15 acres. We decided it would be a good idea and would give us a chance to make sure we liked living in the country. So we we did the opposite of the Beverly Hillbilly's we sold our house in town and moved to the farm. Our daughter Abby started going to school at Chattanooga public schools where she learned about 4-H which led to her showing wether Bore goats. Now keep in mind we were city folks and had no idea how to show any animal let alone a goat. We didn't do bad for rookies from the city thanks to a lot of help from Mr. Mitchel, the Ag teacher at Chatty, although we did have one wether die the day before the county show but we are pretty sure it was a suicide. Abby's other goat (a Raff goat) went on to take 3 place in class at OYE so we were hooked after that.

We had an opportunity to buy the farm we were renting and decided we really liked it so we bought it and would remodel the old farm house instead of building a new house. The farm has several barns and out buildings so it was set up well for livestock. The more we were exposed to the goats and showing the more we liked them. we thought it would be a good idea to use the farm for something related to agriculture so we started to explore the possibility of breeding goats. We were smart enough to know we didn't know enough about meat goats to be breeding them so we began looking for someone who knew what they were doing and would work with us and teach as how to breed quality show goats. We had figured out that genetics was a very important factor in producing winners in the show ring so genetics was an important component to what we were looking for in our breeding program. After a lot of research of who was doing the winning and where many of the winners got there champion wether goats from we determined that Joe and Nikki Raff had some of the best Boer goat genetics in the country. We were excited to find out that the Raff's ranch was only about an hour from ours so we contacted Joe and told him what we were trying to do. After many conversations and a few visits we became breeding partners with Joe and Nikki Raff and part of Blue Team Wethers.
